We had another super successful workday at Chewacla State Park this weekend. You may notice from the following pictures that the bridge all but complete. All that is lacking are the handrails and the approaches.
The work crew worked on the approach on the “other” side of the bridge. Roughly 20 people worked until we were forced to stop due to the fact someone turned out the lights. Darn you sunset!
While there the team did a quite a bit of bench cutting, rock armoring, and rerouting of the trail. In just a few hours the days work crew completed most of the work needed to safely ride onto the bridge.
Thanks again to all that came out. Please keep an ear out for our next work day coming very soon.
