We had a great turn out for the work day on June 19,2012. CAMP combined forces with James Bros. Racing to get a ton of work done on the Lake View Trail in Chewacla State Park. Nearly 20 people got together and worked for 3 hours, after many had already worked a full day at the office. The Lake View Trail was one of our most technical sections of trail, but since it was the first trail you came to the CAMP team decided it should be more beginner friendly. Staying late in the evening, the work crew worked hard shaping the trail, removing rocks and roots, and trimming new growth.
To put things in perspective, those 60 man hours of labor equals about $1,500 worth of work! All of that by being part of the team and giving up one evening of their free time! Great job team! Be on the look out for our next trail work day coming soon.
