CAMP-SORBA thanks two of our members for special financial support in September. Ursula Sandefur is a racer with involvement in Chewacla and Tuskegee National Forest trails long before CAMP was formed. She and her husband Jay are currently reducing their inventory of used parts and bikes, and have generously given a portion of sales to CAMP.
Board member Greg Williams has been with CAMP from inception, and he is a frequent contributor of his time to trail development and events. His efforts provided the decking used on the new bridges on Trail #2 and Kick Six. In September, he covered the rental on a mechanized “dingo” earthmover used on the Base CAMP trail for new dirt rollers, rock garden, and the reshaping of rollers on Dell’s Trail (so these will eventually be tabletops). Additionally, both Greg and his wife Sandi were instrumental in donating resources that led to the Strider Fleet of bicycles used each week through the BASE Camp Program.
A huge thank you to the Sandefurs and Williams, as well as our volunteers for giving their time to our trails!
